Ah, I am happy. Currently, anyway. The weight of school will shortly come crashing back down on me but for the moment I am enjoying the fact that I just got a gmail acount. now, for all you non-geek readers out there, that is a highly coveted email account still in beta testing put out bu google. Also, it has a whole gig of storage space. That's the same as 500 free hotmail acounts. Yeah, now you get the picture. I actually got it because I blog on this site, which is part of google. I didn't get my first choice for a name (imagine, "Nathaniel" is gone already), but I still got a good one. Anywho, that's my happy for the day. Oh, and I also got ten Totino pizzas for ten bucks. They're total garbage/cardboard crust pizzas, but I love 'em. Back when I was growing up they were always a dollar and they were bigger, but oh well. I'll get them on sale when I can. Foodwise, I am doing just fine. Schoolwise, I need to wok harder.
God is good though, and he shows His love for us in little ways all the time. Actually, last week, when I was delivering papers on campus (side job for bill-paying money), God did one of those little "I'm here" reminders for me. Usually, to do one route takes a little over an hour, about an hour twenty. This quarter though, I picked up an extra route, Andrew's old one, since he is in Russia this quarter. So, total of 13 houses now (up from 6). I didn't know how long it would take, but I need the money. I just prayed beforehand that God would help me get into the houses to deliver the papers (that's always the hard part - getting in to houses - usually have to wait till a resident comes home or leaves or sees you from a window). And guess what, I did get into all but one of te houses right away. In all, I delivered to all 13 houses, a little over 400 papers, in just under two hours. That includes going back to the publishing center because I ran out of papers (didn't guesstimate right). Wow. Thanks God. I said I would put it on here if He got me in the houses, and He did, so here this is.
In other news...I don't know that I really have much other news. Trying to do my school is really all I have right now, besides work. Church on Fridays and Sundays usually, Chi Alpha on Tuesdays (we had worship again this week - it rocked - I've soooo missed playing my d'jembe), SUPC on Sundays, and class on all the other days. I just really need to get some good reading habits back, and discipline for writing. It's not a matter of ability, but of willability.
Anyway, I'm going to stay happy in my google geekiness at the moment.

When I get some time, I'm going to be making a page devoted to the flowers, architecture, and sculptures here at campus. Look for it. I've been getting some amazing photos (thank you for my digital camera mom), especially of macro stuff. I've got a great photo of a bee harvesting from a flower on my desktop right now. The bee is about two inches long and you can see every hair on his abdomen, all the pollen on his legs, and every vein of the purple flower that his head is buried in. Very cool also (see, I'm not just a computer geek. I embrace all flavors of geekiness).
Till next time, your favorite beta tester for Gmail,
Nathaniel

Well, long time no write, again. Lots has happened in the intervening time. Let's see...I went up and visited Andrew before he left. We went shooting, which was fun. It was my first time, but I held my own (got my first three shots, and then some). Then he left for Russia. Through the wonders of modern technology and the mystery of area codes, I've atually been able to speak with him several times. Eleven hour time difference though. Also, he's been getting a few pics and notes up on his blog. ---On a related note, don't forget to check out my new picture site. Get a visual recent history of my life anyway.
I was at home for a week between quarters. Worked a bit on making a raised brick flower bed for mom. Came back to school. Finally ended up getting a new laptop, but I just got the cheapest one I could find, since really all I need a laptop for is taking notes and being able to work outside my room.
School's been going. Had some trouble setting up my classes - had four of them fall out on me. I'm settled into 19 units now - Human Behavioral Biology (cross-listed in psych), Observation of Children at Bing nursery, Personality psych, and Keats. Should be fun.
Lynette is back now, but whether it is Lynette or Andrew gone, the dynamic is different without the both of them here.
Glen and Paua had their baby, Dana. Tonight at Chi Alpha Paula turned her over to me for burping, and I ended up holding her through the whole meeting, which was cool. She's just 18 days old and has those tiny cute little fingers and toes, and quite a head of hair. I tease Glen that she's making up for him.
It's a short update, but I'm too tired to think of too much else. Another time.
