When the mood hits, I'll post my brain hiccups. Don't look for anything on a regular basis though.

Alright, I finally made it up to Yuba City to see Andrew's place. Yuba Yuba Yuba - fun little word. Didn't get up here till nine, so we ended up just watching a movie at his place with a few of his friends. Jane was here, and she's always fun, and also finally got to met Rosa, whom I have been wanting to met for a while. After the flick we went to Lyon's to hang out for a little while. Tomorrow is church, then either a movie, or Andrew talked about taking me shooting. We'll see what happens.
Andrew and I were doing our usual philosophical life/love/meaning of the universe kind of mental meandering after everyone left, and when we got around to age and dying, he made me laugh when he said, "You're about one-third dead, I'd say." Personally, I'd like to think only two-sevenths, but who knows.
Ah, it is so enjoyable to just sit around and talk - women, school, women, life, women, politics, women, relationships, women, and - oh yeah, women. Topics we never tire of discussing. Mystery is life and life is mystery. The pleasure of it comes from the discovery of it, the why's and wherefore's, the recollections and rememberances. I wish I could zip forward 60 years to look back on now, and then zip back here to live it.
This feels kind of like a strange blog - I might edit it later, but for tonight, I am going to leave it. Maybe I'll leave it anyway. That's another of the little mysteries of life. Anyone who reads this now will know if I change it later, but anyone who reads it later, will not know what it originally was unless they are told. We never know what is not. A simple statement, but a profound one at the same time.
I'm going to sign off for now. Later boys and girls. Next week same time, same channel - well, same channel anyway.
Ja, mata ashita ;)

Well, for better or worse, another quarter is over. I feel that this particular one was for the worse. I've never had such a hard time with classes before, and I've taken more units twice, but for some reason this quarter really mopped up with me. One week's respite in the corner of the ring, and then I'm back in slugging for another round. Might be the last one, but I might be going in for overtime. Actually, I'm pretty sure I will be. Eh well.
On to next quarter. I don't know if I'll get in or not, but I applied to take a class with John Maxwell Coetzee, who won the nobel prize in lit last year. The class is "Reading for Writers." I think it would be a lot of fun, not to mention educational and and a great experience, to get in the class, but ... well, who knows. I won't find out till the day before classes start.
These last two weeks ahve been fairly eventful for me. Finally got together with Andrew for that bear he had in his fridge (check out Andrew's blog for pictures). Pretty good. A bit of a stronger flavor than any other meat I've had. Had and love buffalo, ostrich is alright, tried a little bit of gator jerky before - now I just need to try some rattlesnake. After that, I don't know where my culinary inquisitiveness will take me.
So my uncle Johnny is down to see my grandma. Going to have dinner with them tomorrow. Saturday I'm going to go up and spend the night at Andrew's place. Get to see his place, hang with Jane, met Rosa and maybe Joel. I've been wanting to for a while, so I guess now before he heads off to Russia is as good a time as ever. Thank goodness for IM. I don't know if he got a webcam yet, but at least I've introduced him to the wonders of chatting with a microphone on IM. I just hope he doesn't get into too much trouble in Russia. If left to his own devices I know he could single-handedly restart the Cold War. That, or come back with a Russian bride. Who knows. I'm sure he'll have a great number of stories to tell when he gets back though. Oh, and I just found out and tols him that yahoo has 30 megs of free space, so he will be able to post lots of pics on his blog. WooHoo. Speaking of, I think I'll slap some random pic on here myself....let me see...hmmm...yeah, I think this one will do. Alrighty boys and girls, much fun until next time!
Just some nice little pics of me doing my thing, my dog Mariah, and my frogfish.
BTW, I'm working on getting a full pic site up and running. I got a free place, but everytime I go to it it wants to download something to my computer. So, I might just end up dumping it and getting a different site. Thanks goodness for free web space!

UPDATE - Well, it looks like yahoo doesn't allow linking for pics posted on their site w/o paying. Will get the images back up when I move them to a different site that I can link from. Sorry.
